Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Spoonly app ("the App"). By downloading or using Spoonly, you agree to these Terms.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

1. The service

Spoonly is a meal-planning app that helps you and your household plan meals, organize recipes, scan recipes from paper, and build shopping lists. All data is stored locally on your device.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Spoonly on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service and these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, or reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source code, except where permitted by law.

3. Your content

Any content you create in Spoonly — recipes, meal plans, photos, family member details, and shopping lists — belongs to you. Because this content is stored only on your device, you are responsible for it, including keeping backups where appropriate. We have no access to it and cannot recover it for you if it is lost.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Spoonly only for lawful purposes. When scanning or importing recipes, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you add to the App.

5. Recipe and nutrition information

Spoonly may include built-in recipes and allow you to add nutritional details such as calories. This information is provided for general convenience only and is not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Always use your own judgment, check ingredients for allergens, and consult a qualified professional for dietary or health decisions. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any recipe or nutritional information.

6. No warranty

Spoonly is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Because your data is stored locally, we are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device failure, deletion of the App, or failure to maintain backups.

8. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
