Do I need an account to use Spoonly?
No. Spoonly works without any sign-up. Open the app and start planning — there is no login, no password, and no email required.
Where is my data stored?
Everything you create in Spoonly is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. It is not uploaded to Spoonly's servers, because there are none.
How does the cookbook scanner work?
Point your camera at a printed recipe or handwritten card. Spoonly uses on-device text recognition to turn the page into a saved recipe. The photo and text stay on your device.
Can I share my meal plan with my partner?
Today, Spoonly is a single-device app focused on privacy. You can share a meal plan or shopping list by exporting it from the app and sending it through Messages, Mail, or any other app you already use.
Does Spoonly work offline?
Yes. Spoonly does not need an internet connection for any of its core features. Plan meals, scan recipes, and check your shopping list from anywhere.
How do I back up my recipes?
Spoonly is included in your device's iCloud Backup when you have it enabled in iOS Settings. You can also export individual recipes and plans from the app.
Is Spoonly really free?
Yes. Spoonly is free to download and use, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
What devices are supported?
Spoonly runs on iPhone and iPad with a recent version of iOS or iPadOS. An Android version is not currently available.
